Transiberrian 2008

I have finished watching Transiberrian (2008). It is a beautifully shot thriller film that took place on the Transiberrian railroad traveling in between Beijin, China and Moscow, Russia.

The cinemaography of this film is masterfully done -- the locations are exotic (to me at least) and wonderfully captured, and definitely are very pleasing to the eyes. One of the scenes showed the transcontinental railroad cutting across the snow capped pine forest while puffing out white smoke. It was a treat to the eyes.

Story-wise, Transiberria is one thrilling ride (no pun intended) -- though the last 1/4 segment of the movie was a let down that spoiled the build up from the first 3/4 of the film. However, do not let this deter from your will to rent and enjoy this movie on a cold wintery Saturday afternoon with a cup of hot coffee and cuddling with your loved one. Also, if you like cameras and taking photos, you will be happy to know that our heroine carries a Canon Rebel with her. You even get to see her use a white L lens!
